project is $265,400 with a benefit-cost ratio
of 1.80 to 1.00. The project was authorized
July 16, 1960 and they just recently let the
first contract for the dam on Carbon Arroyo.

Indian Wash watershed project is at Grand I
Junction and the plan has been completed and
sent to Congress for authorization. Land treat-
ment measures on the watershed and a flood
retention dam on Indian Wash having,l,615'
acre-feet capacity is proposed. The total proj-
ect cost is $4S2,166 of which $431,685 will be
P. L. 566 funds. The project has a benefit-
cost ratio of 1.38 to 1.00. There has been
considerable local interest on this project and
the City of Grand Junction has approved it and
they have a drainage district involved and they
also approved the project so I think this is
one that is going through.

They are working on the Home Supply Water-
shed. Preliminary investigations have just been
completed for rehabilitation of the Home Supply
Irrigation system and for construction of a
5,000 acre-foot storage reservoir which would
be filled from the Big Thompson River. Preliminary inves-
tigations indicate that this may be a justi-
fiable project under P. L. 566. There's special
interest on this project in that it is the first
time in this state that they have gone into
rehabilitation studies of an existing irrigation
system. In this case they are planning on
rehabilitation of their drop structures; they
have no weirs of any consequence that are any
good; and they also need additional storage for
water management hoping to get something later I
on in the season. This office here made special
water supply studies and find that with the
5,000 acre-foot reservoir there isn't much
chance of getting over on an average of maybe
2,000 or 2,500 acre-feet a year. That's on an
average. It's probably closer to 2,000. How-
ever, they have been able to buy some Big
Thompson water at times and also pick up a
