MR. CORNELIUS:

I MR. SMITH,

MR, CORNELIUS:

MR. SMITE!:

I MR. STAPIEIOB,

MR. SPARKS:

"Bill, when you refer to the Del Norte
gage, do you mean Del Norte gage and Mogote
gage?"

"No. I probably should have clarified that.
The operating criteria I was speaking to was
particularly with regard to the operation of the
Rio Grande. On the Conejos it is a little bit
different situation. They actually have a more
severe compact commitment. On that the way we
operated last year was to curtail diversions
in January, February and March and into April,
the same kind of dates. Then we adjusted our
commitments to the compact based upon our over
deliveries of those three months on our antici-
pated runoff and delivered the percentage of
the river that would make our compact commit-
ments come about with the idea that in September
we would adjust out the October and November over
deliveries due to curtailment."

"Thanks.

Now most of this 65,000 credit that we got
came out of the Rio Grande. Isn't that right?"

"I don't remember exactly. I think it
was - I don't believe it was all out of the Rio
Grande. As you know, last year the Rio Grande
people agreed or there was some consideration
given to accounting the 10,000 credit to the
Conejos and using that plan I can't exact any
figures but I think they were both over. The
Rio Grande by far the most, Quincy, you are
right because we stayed ahead of the game all
the way through on the Rio Grande and this was
not true in the Conejos until the latter part
of September."

"All right. We'll now turn to the Director's
RepOl;t. Larry."

"I'll be leaving this afternoon right after
the meeting for Washington and will meet early
in the morning with Mr. Kuiper, the state engineer,
