<br />induced the contractor to do a little extra <br />work and we hope that that bridge will be in <br />operation this fall. If the contractor con- <br />tinues his plans, he will divert water around <br />the dam site area sometime late this winter or <br />early next spring. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Going on to our paonia project, that <br />project has now been turned over to the water <br />users. There is some minor work yet to be <br />done to complete the project. <br /> <br />On the Smith Fork project, Crawford Dam <br />is completed and we are storing water in that <br />structure. There is a little bit of work to <br />be done on some of the canals which we anti- <br />cipate will be finished this year, this month, <br />and we look for a year of seasoning and test- <br />ing operation on that project. <br /> <br />Collbran Project is completed. All <br />facilities are in an operating condition now <br />and for the past forty days we have been test- <br />ing our powerplant and our equipment there. <br /> <br />Moving on to Florida Project, this proj- <br />ect, money-wise, is about 60 percent complete. <br />Construction work has been moving along very <br />well. They had a short spell where they were <br />shut down on the dam but favorable weather <br />has prevailed and they are moving right ahead. <br /> <br />Last week we established a field office <br />at Anvil Points near Rifle for the silt proj- <br />ect. We intend to run our preconstruction <br />surveys out of that office and hope that we <br />can complete all of the work necessary so <br />that we can go into construction by next July <br />or as soon as we get a construction appropria- <br />tion. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Moving on now to Advance Planning, drill- <br />ing has started on Rifle Gap Reservoir and <br />other features of the silt Project. <br /> <br />We do not as yet have any word on our <br />report on the Crystal Dam and Powerplant, part <br />
