I

150 feet of storage back of that reservoir.
l.le expect that that will be reached about
December 1st and then the usual flows will go
through the diversion tunnel; the necessary
plugging of the outlet works and then the
necessary plugging will be made of the diver-
sion tunnel. It is expected that this week
the final bucket of concrete will be placed
in the dam proper. There yet remains to be
done a lot of work - sidewalks, roads, things
of that nature - to complete the dam but I
was talking about the dam proper.

Actually storage has also began at the
Navajo Dam. There yet remains to be a little
bit of secondary concrete work to be put in
the diversion tunnel, the setting of the perma-
nent gates, and a few things such as that which
are expected to be completed by January 1, 1963.
Also they have just recently completed the
ballasting and track laying for the relocation
of about 11 miles of the Denver and Rio Grande
Railroad.

Moving on to Curecanti, Blue Mesa Dam,
money-wise, is about 20 percent complete.
The diversion tunnel has been holed through
and concreting operation has been started in
the tunnel.

Work preparatory to issuing plans and
specifications calling for bids on Morrow Point
is rapidly nearing completion and the schedule
calls for calling for construction bids on
that unit next spring. A contract for clearing
of the Morrow Point Reservoir site was awarded
on October 29th.

I

There has been a little bit of difficulty
on the Lake Fork bridge, one of the two bridges
on the road relocation. The contractor had
the unfortunate experience of dropping one of
the large girders into the river. That girder
had to be hauled out and repaired and there
has been some delay in getting that bridge in
operation. However, by special negotiations
the Colorado state Highway Department has
