confluence with Graneros Creek. Little Graneros runs parallel to and one to two miles south of
Graneros Creek. It is a year round stream, except when the large darns above us are being filled
which has caused it to dry up on at least one occasion, which was a time of major concern to
us. The Little Graneros flows for half a mile through the property of the undersigned.
Wildlife. The Little Graneros provides water and habitat for bear (last fall there were
four bear in its creek bottom), elk (up to 47 in one herd), deer, coyotes, fox, many birds
including great horned owls and wild ducks. We have seen fingerling trout in the creek.
Agriculture. We have sheep and horses, and we lease our pastures for cattle grazing.
. Many of the neighboring properties depend on a constant flow of water in Little Graneros for
domestic wells and for in-stream livestock grazing.
Impact. Without an assured in-stream flow in the Little Graneros, wildlife and wildlife
habitat, livestock endeavors, domestic water and property values are all put at risk.
Access for Study of Little Graneros. We the undersigned wish to offer our hospitality
and access to our land to Department of Wildlife and Water Conservation personnel for the
purpose of studying Little Graneros Creek and its wildlife and habitat, but request advance
telephone notification.

4. Request for Copy of Board Decisions. We request to be put on the address list to receive
a copy of the Final Notice Status and the Final Actions (decisions) on the ISF Recommendations
currently under consideration, and for future (1997) ISF actions of the Board.

Thank you for your work on this important problem.

Sincerely,

Dolo 1<-' K~s,-.,.J
Dolores Randerson

Cy to: Neighbors in the Graneros and Little Graneros areas, wI referenced Memorandum from
the Colorado Water Conservation Board (10 Iune 1996) attached

,

e

e

e
