"I have been informed there is a dire need for
a gaging station at Razor Creek, tributary of
Tomichi Creek. If you would keep that in mind,
it would be of great help to those ranchers
up there."

"We will look into that.

"Gentlemen, if we do not get started in
procuring data for these projects, we will
not be in a position to insist on feasibility
reports. This gives us a chance to get an
early start on these projects."

"Are they doing anything at all on the Tomichi
Project?"
"It was not among those recommended for immediate
study."

"If we could get some action on that, it would
be a big help. Why can't the Water Board make
the suggestion to the Bureau--asking 'them to go
on up the river and see,if they can't find a
site, even though it would impound a smaller
amount of water--a site that might be feasible.
I would like to move that that be done."

"Second the motion."

Discussion of Mr. Dutcher's motion followed.

"I would like to suggest that we talk to Mr.
Larson informally first--rather than have an
abtion of the Board."

"I would go along with that."

"We would be glad to take any of your suggestions
as to what further investigations might be. I
will certainly 'report to Mr. Larson that Mr.
Dutcher is interested in exploring this site
for Tomichi Creek."

"I will withdraw my motion."

At this point, the Board discussed the advisability of pro-
viding for some leeway in the selection of gaging station locations.
