Now, by passing this
motion, we cQn make it formal. My
conversation was on an.informal basis."

I

"I would like to ask a question. Does
this Board cQre to entertain a motion
that the State Board ask for allocation
of funds or is that taken care of?"

"I think a motion should be made~"

"I will so make a motion that the/Colorado
Water Conservation Board contqct the
Bureau of Reclamation office and ask for
ample funds to be allocated, starting
with the fiscal year, to carry on further
studies of the projects in the San Juan
Basin."

"Are there any questions?"

On vote being taken, the motion was carried
unaniInous ly.

"We have covered two of the three requests
made by the Qelegation from the AniInas-
LaPlata Committee. One was the :request for
funds and the other was approval by the
Board of the Animas-LaPlata Project. The
third was to get this project included in
the Bill now before Congress rather than
to wait "
- ,

"It would be of considerable aid to our
efforts to have a resolution passed by this
Board, and send copies of it to our
Congressional delegation."

I

"I think our first motion would take care
of that."
