<br />APPLICATION FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY: <br />PROPOSED CHERAW WATER PROJECT <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />On Aprll 29, 1981, an' applIcation for state assistance was <br /> <br /> <br />receIved on. the subject project" whIch' application outlIned the <br /> <br /> <br />municipaL water problems being experienced by the Town of Cheraw. <br /> <br />PROJECT <br /> <br />The proposed project would improve all facets of the <br /> <br /> <br />munIcipal water system of Cheraw" includIng new distribution <br /> <br /> <br />lines, treated water storage, and some treatment facilIties_ The <br /> <br /> <br />estImated cost of the project is $400.,000. It would benefit <br /> <br /> <br />approximately 80 families. <br /> <br />DISCUSSIo~ AND RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The project as described in the application does not qualify <br />for CWCfr construction funds under the criteria of 37-60-121(1)- <br />(b), CRS 1973, as amended.
