<br />APPLICATIO~ FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY, <br />PROPOSED BRIGHTON PILOT WATER PROJECT <br /> <br />INTROIJUCTION <br /> <br />On January 26, 1981, the City Manager of Brighton submitted <br /> <br /> <br />an application for state assistance on the subject project. <br /> <br />PROJECT <br /> <br />This project is rather unique in that it is a piiot project <br />for a water denitrification piant. The estimated cost for this <br />plant is $100,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Al though the project as proposed is only a pilot plant, it <br /> <br /> <br />is a type of water treatment plant. According to 37-60-121(1)- <br /> <br /> <br />(b)(VI), CRS 1973, as amended, it does not qualify for con- <br /> <br /> <br />struction funds. We therefore recommend that funds for a <br /> <br /> <br />feasibility study on this project be denied. <br /> <br />JWM/gI <br />9/81 <br />
