<br />Funding and Scheduling <br /> <br />S.B. 439 specifies that the cost of the study shall not <br /> <br /> <br />exceed $300,000. All personnel, operating, overhead, and travel <br /> <br /> <br />costs of the selected firm must be met within this sum or such <br /> <br /> <br />lesser amount as may be agreed upon during negotiation of a <br /> <br /> <br />contract. The acquisition of capital expenditure items will not <br /> <br /> <br />be permitted. <br /> <br />The firm selected must be able to initiate work immediately <br /> <br /> <br />upon the execution and final apProval of a contract by the state <br /> <br /> <br />(about mid-December, 1981). The consultant must be able to <br /> <br /> <br />complete a draft final report by January 1, 1983. It will be <br /> <br /> <br />desirable to complete the draft report in a lesser amount of time <br /> <br /> <br />if possible. <br /> <br />Conduct of the Study <br /> <br />The study shall be performed under the general guidance of <br /> <br /> <br />the CWCB. The conduct of all evaluations and analyses for which <br /> <br /> <br />the study calls shall be the responsibility of the firm retained <br /> <br /> <br />to carry out the study. <br /> <br />During the course of the study, the consultant shall make <br /> <br /> <br />frequent (not less than every two weeks) oral reports to the <br /> <br /> <br />CWCB staff on the status of the study.
