"It appears to me that we have reached
the pOint that further discussion at this
time would not bring forth many more facts
and it appears there is no possibility of
any decision until later in the year. Is
that correct, r~. Sparks?"

"Unless there is anyone in the group. who
would like to make a statement, I think we
will conclude the consideration of John Martin
at this time. Is there anyone - ~~. Boustead -
or anyone else who wishes to make any further
remarks?

Then we'll move on to the next item on-
the agenda, unless Mr; Sparks has. something

MR. SPARKS:

"I understand the Governor will be here
in just a few minutes and we will wait until
he gets here before we show our film. I
might state, concerning this film, that it
has been under production for almost two years
now and it has been an experience to me.
Trying to present Colorado's water problems
in a 25 mifiute film has been a to~gh job. We
have reviewed and previewed and c~t and re-
wrote the script of this picture innumerable
times. In any event, I think you'll find we
have done the best we can to present the
problem on CQlorado's water resources.

Before that, I would like to advise the
Board members that the National Rivers and
Harbors Congress is being held on May 24th
through the 27th in Washington, D. C. We are
a member of that organization and normally I
have attended the annual meeting. . John Bar-
nard, Jr. has also attended along with Mr.
Harold Christy of Pueblo. This year I will
not be able to go because of the hearings
scheduled on the San Juan-Chama and Navajo
Irrigation Projects and the Fryingpan-Arkansas
Project. vlhat'.I'm asking is if one or two
Board members would like to go to the National
Rivers and Harbors Congress."
