MR. MOSES:

"That is a good idea. We ~ill recess
luncheon until 1:15 P. M."

The meeting was reconvened and called to order by the
Vice Chairman at 1:45 P. M. Governor-elect McNichols and Mr.
Williams were absent. Mr. J. B. Barnard, Jr., was present as
Mr. Dunbar's proxy.

IVlR. MOSES:

"We were ready before lunch to consider
the Resolution submitted by Mr. Miller. Mr.
Oliver would you care to say anything on this
point? Gentlemen, this is Mr. Floyd Oliver,
Senator-elect from Weld County and also past
president of the Colorado Well Drillers
Association. "

Senator Oliver gave a brief talk on Mr. Miller's Resolu-
tion and his reasons for being in favor of it.

MR. MOSES:

Mr. Lawrence Frees, Buena Vista, member of the County
Planning Commission there, spoke on his approval of the Resolution.

MR. MOSES:

"Would anyone else like to speak on this
subject? Senator Rogers would you care to. say
anything concerning this?"

SENATOR ROGERS:

"I am very much interested in it. It
sounds like a good idea to me."

MR. STAPLETON:
MR. CRAWFORD:

"What engineering data do we have on this?"

"In regard to the pumping, we have nothing.
Perhaps Mr. Whitten can tell us more about that
than I can. We have no figures in our office
regarding actual pumping records."

MR. WHITTEN:

"Colorado A. & M. has some information on
it. They have carried on quite an extensive
study on it. There is also quite a bit of data
available through the Well Drillers Association."

IVlR. MOSES:

"Mr. Bell are you familiar enough with what
the ground-water branch of the U. S. Geological
Survey has done to give us a report on this?"

Mr. Bell gave a short statement regarding the United
States Geological Survey's standpoint on this question.
