The District's carriage facility is over 50-years old and the U.S. Bureau of <br />Reclamation has recommended rehabilitation of the inlet and outlet canals. The proposed project <br />is to rehabilitate inlet and outlet canals to the Jackson Gulch Reservoir and to replace its operational <br />shops and headquarters. Design engineering is scheduled to be complete in 2004 with construction <br />to following in 2005. The District anticipates having the entire project complete by 2014. The <br />District has performed test sections with various lining materials to assist in determining the final <br />design package for the ditch rehabilitation. Lininger Lake, which is ;used for fish, wildlife, and i.ecreation purposes_-.by <br />subdivision residents, is supplied by _a junior water right that cannot be filled unless its <br />conswnptive use due to evaporation is replaced. The estimated average annual divertible <br />volume is 110 acre-feet, and the evaporative loss needing augmentation is 46 acre-feet. The <br />Association plans on purchasing senior water rights that are suitable for augmentation. Dam <br />improvements include installing a low-level outlet structure and raising the crest of the dam <br />approximately 12-inches. Leonard Rice Consulting Water Engineers completed the feasibility <br />study. Water rights have been purchased. The overall ditch is approximately II miles long and <br />its headgate is located on the South Platte River. The pipe section within the ditch was originally <br />designed by Landmark Engineering, Loveland, Colorado and was bid but in November of 2005. Given the high costs of the bids received, the designed pipe section alternative to control seepage <br />
