This permit shall be in force from February 8,1977 until May 15,1977. The <br />request to extend the permit from Novemb'er 1 ,through Aptil 1 for the 1977-78 and <br />1978-79 winter seasons is denied. ' <br /> <br />^ <br />] <br /> <br />2. The project area to be seeded is hereby limited from that area originally <br />proposed in the application. The permitted project area is defined by the attached <br />map referenced as Exhibit A. The permittee shall strictly adhere to the revised <br />project area. <br /> <br />i <br />~ <br />1 <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />3. -The permittee shall suspend seeding operations when the average snowpack <br />within ,the project area reaches 125% of normal snQwpack at that given time of year. <br />The average snowpack will be calculated by averaging the actual Soil Conservation <br />Service snowpack -readings for water content from three representative selected Soil <br />Conservation Service snow course sites within the project area. The permittee shall <br />choose three 5 i tes and immedi ately 'forward -that selection to the Executi ve Di rector. <br />The normal snowpack will be the average water content of the snowpack for the past <br />15 years of record for each o~ the se,lected snow courses'. <br /> <br />4. The applicant shall suspend seeding operations during storm periods forecast <br />to produce unusually heavy precipitation amounts ,whic~ could possibly contribute to -' <br />, the occurrences of avalanches or severe weather conditions- within the project area. <br /> <br />5. The applicant shall make weekly news releases, during the operating period, <br />to four newspapers. of the broadest cfrculation used for publication of the notice <br />required by C.R.S.1973 36-20-104 (n and 36-20-112 (1)(e) concerning the seeding <br />, activities of the project.
