WINTER PARK PROJECT, Continued

RECOMMENDATION

The Winter Park Water and Sanitation District may have to cut

its authorized project considerably, because the cost of the proj-

ect has increased since it was first authorized in 1977.

The additional $150,000 requested will give the entity enough

money to construct its project as originally authorized.

Proposed revised financing fOr. the project would then be as

fOllows:

Farmers Home Administration (FmHA)
Grant and Loan

$ 900,000
900,000
$1,800,000

state Funds (to be. repaid by use charges)
Total

Based on the proposed budget, water use charges in the amount

of $52,047 would be levied annually by the state fOr 30 years fOr
a total charge of $1,561,410.
It is therefore recommended that the water supply project fOr
Winter Park be constructed by this board to the extent of $900,000
(total) upon the provision that the district furnish additional
financing to the extent of $900,000 from the FmHA Or other SOurces

and that the project be recommended and submitted to the Colorado

General Assembly for approval and increased funding during the

1980 session.

JWMcD:tam

-2-
