study. The USBR will provide technical assistance to LRCWE as
indicated in the POS. Frequent communications between LRCWE and
the USBR will minimize dupl ication of effort and foster understanding
of required work products.

Brief monthly written progress reports will be submitted to the study
sponsors in conjunction with a statement for engineering services.
These reports will describe activities during the period as well
as discuss budget and schedule. In addition to the monthly
progress reports, oral status reports by telephone or in person
to designated representatives will be made at least once every
two weeks during the active technical work periods. These reports
update progress of work, review schedules, establish meeting
times, clarify input needs from the client and other pertinent
matters.

Ten copies (draft and final versions) of the task memoranda will
be prepared to summarize technical engineering analyses and
provide recommendations concerning the work completed in relation
to the overall study. These reports will be issued in draft form
for review by the CWCB, SLVWCD and USBR. At the study's completion,
task memoranda will form the basis for the final study report.

Schedul e

A schedul e for performing the study is shown in Figure 2. Thi s
study contemplates commencing work on January 5, 1986 and submittal
of a draft of the final report by the end of July, 1987. Submittal
of the final report would be within two weeks following receipt
of review comments.

Estimated time periods required for USBR activities have been
incorporated into our schedule. Their activities on Task 1 and
Task 3 are envisioned to be completed by February 16, 1987 in
order for the schedule to be maintained.

The following tentative time periodS have been scheduled for
review of draft documents by the CWCB, SLVWCD and USBR. The
documents will be final ized within two weeks of the receipt of
review comments. Due to common elements in Task 2 and Task 4
investigations, these tasks will be discussed in one document.
The Task 2 and Task 4 memorandum will also be submitted to legal
counsel for review (see Task 2 and Task 4 descriptions).
