Provide LRCWE with a list of previous planning studies
performed by the USBR or others (USGS, irrigation
companies, CWCB, SLVWCD, etc.) in the Rio Grande Basin
in Colorado with short abstracts of the contents of the
resulting reports.
2. Acquire, review and summarize relevant information from
reports which LRCWE has selected from the list of
planning studies.
3. Compile and summarize miscellaneous data from USBR
files (which is supplemental to information summarized
in planning reports). This information may contain
organized information on water rights, uses of the
water rights, existing reservoir data, cl imatological
information, the surface-groundwater model of the San
Luis Valley presently being developed, etc.
4. Perform computer searches and compilation of magnetic
tapes data sets of diversion and storage records provided
by the SEO. Monthly summaries of diversions will be
prepared on a structure (ditch) basis for 1950 through
the current record. These summaries will be in a
format appropriate for transfer to the LRCWE computer
system Task Ib(2).

Work Product: Compilations of information sources and
assoc iated information from the USBR' s rev iew. The USB R
will use format guidelines as provided by LRCWE and, on
request, provide the original reviewed reports to LRCWE.
The USBR will provide LRCWE with a monthly summaries of
diversion records on a ditch basis as obtained from the
Colorado State Computer Water Data Bank.

7

~ Leonard Rice Consulting Water Engineers, Inc.
