The Columbine <br />Ranches Property O".ners Association supplies water to subdivision residents for inigation. stock <br />watering, and fire protection. The well that supplies this water has a junior water right (1962) and can not <br />be pumped unless its consumptive use is replaced. The annual volume pumped is 120 acre-feel. and the <br />consumptive use is 84 acre-feet The Association plans to purchase senior 'water rights that are suitable for <br />augmentation. The Columbine Ranches Property O..mers Association is a nonprofit corporation registered <br />in the State of Colorado. The Association has 54 members and a service area of 160 acres. Robert A. <br />Longenbaugh, P.E. has been retained by the AsSOCiation, and has completed the feasibility study. The <br />Columbine Ranches Property O...mers Association plans to purchase the needed senior water rights in <br />1999. Proposed funding for the project consists ofa CWeB loan for 75% of the cost, with the Association <br />funding the remainder.
