This $445,()(X) project was the construction of a new raw water grit chamber and
transmission line replacing a similar functionally obsolete facility for the Town of Morrison in
Jefferson County. The project consisted of a new concrete grit chamber at the Bear Creek
diversion structure and construction of approximately 900 feel of Duclile Iron and HDPE
transmission pipeline along a precarious canyon wall. Mclaughlin Water Engineers. Inc. of
Denver prepared lhe project design that was constructed by l.R. Walton Construction Co. of
Indian Hills. Colorado commencing OClOber 1. 1997. Construction was completed in May 1998
wilh subslaJllial completion on July 22. 1998,
