To educate customers on efficient ways to water landscaping and utilize water efficient <br />plants and turf. <br /> <br />(- <br /> <br />The District shall develop and distribute t m w. W _ r _dnt not limited <br />to, the following: <br /> <br />L Design and planting of water efficient landscapes, plus plant and turf lists of acceptable <br />materials. <br /> <br />2. Proper soil preparation techniques. <br /> <br />3. Efficient low water use irrigation systems and practices, <br /> <br />4. Maintenance practices for landscaping including: <br /> <br />Appropriate time-of-day watering <br /> <br />Appropriate mowing height for turf <br /> <br />5. How to do a landscape water audit and budget <br /> <br />The District shall provide information on water management techniques for both residential and <br />commercial irrigation systems. <br /> <br />Audits <br /> <br />OBJECTIVES: <br /> <br />. Provide audits to government, residential and business customers for the purpose of <br />educating them of ways to conserve water. <br /> <br />The District shall administer audits for all City and County owned buildings to determine <br />opportunities for reducing water waste, and to inform maintenance personnel of water saving <br />practices. <br /> <br />The District shall conduct audits as requested on residential, business, and industrial buildings <br />and properties. The District shall provide water customers information on water saving practices <br />and available hardware to improve both indoor and outdoor water efficiencies, <br /> <br />If a commerciaVindustrial water audit is determined to be beyond the scope of the District's <br />capabilities, engineering services will be made available to the customer. ,... __v -' ljI!r <br />. . <br /> <br />Public Education <br />OBJECTIVES: <br /> <br />.
