The L TWD, with 7016
shares of C-BT water, is the tenth largest allottee in the Colorado-Big Thompson water
system. This represents only 2.25% of the total available C-BT shares. As L TWD's
raw water needs increase, the District will continue to obtain the additional C-BT water
shares required. With more than 68% of the C-BT deliveries destined for agricultural
use, the ability of the L TWD to obtain the needed shares of water is not a major
concern at this time.

The Little Thompson Water District also maintains metered connections with Central
Weld County Water District (CWCWD), Fort Collins-Loveland Water District and the
City of Loveland for emergency supply and supplemental water to boost service in
remote areas of the District.

-----------------~------------- ~

3.3 District Facilities

3.3.1 Water Treatment

Little Thompson Water District and Central Weld County Water District jointly own and
operate two water treatment plants located at the south end of Carter Lake. The
treatment plants are operated as a separate entity known as Carter Lake Filter Plant
and are capable of delivering 26 million gallons per day (MGD).

3-2
