The District is generally bounded by the City of Loveland on
the North, Longs Peak Water District on the South, the City of Greeley, the South
Platte River and the St. Vrain River on the East, and the foothills of the Front Range on
the West. See Appendix 8-B for the L TWO map.

fbnberllfT..lcfdl!lldlV,w: 198510'.

I
I
I
I
I
I

-------------

I
I
I
I
I
I

~ ~

~!"~~

Total Ibnb... oflml:all.d w.t.r Tilp'

....

""

...
I
.
I, ... ;
~:;:

,.. ,

... Tap sales for the last three years
have averaged nearly 190 taps sold per year, with a total of more than 4500 domestic
water taps currently being served by the Little Thompson Water District. The District
takes great pride in the fact that in its 35-year history, there has never been a mill levy
assessed.

3.2 Water Source and Supply

The Little Thompson Water District has a single source of raw water for treatment and
distribution. All of the water used by the District is Colorado-Big Thompson (C-BT)
water which is delivered through Carter Lake. Currently, the District owns 7016 shares
of C-BT water, nominally worth one acre-foot/share annually of water. However, actual
delivery of water is based upon an annual quota established by the Northern Colorado
Water Conservancy District (NCWCD). Since the L TWD began supplying treated
drinking water in 1962, actual annual delivery from NCWCD has averaged 73% of
L TWD's allocation.

3-1
