9. DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION REGARDING
WATER USE EFFICIENCY MEASURES; PUBLIC
EDUCATION, WATER USE AND WATER SAVING
DEMONSTRATIONS.

The Denver Water Department has addressed this element in detail in
its Conservation Master Plan. The District's Board of Directors
has adopted Denver Water's Conservation Master Plan by resolution.
A copy of the Conservation Master Plan is attached hereto and
incorporated into this plan by reference as Attachment Appendix 1.

The District has always cooperated with the Denver Water Department
in all efforts to educate the pUblic on water conservation and
disseminated information on water use efficiency measures.

Xeriscape pamphlets, as well as native plant material guides and
other conservation information are available at the office, these
are periodically mailed to our customers.

Wheat Ridge Water Department has available water conservation
information from AWWA, Colorado Water Conservation, Inc., and other
water conservation sources.

During 1996 we will be discussing with the City of Wheat Ridge,
Parks and Recreation Department, the possibility of locating a
Xeriscape landscape demonstration site within the city.

We will once again make available water conservation plumbing kits
for residents who did not participate in the earlier Offering.

A new program aimed at setting up a water resource/coriservation
library at the Wheat Ridge Middle School will be investigated
during the 1996-1997 school year.

The Landscape Design and Maintenance Guidelines for Water
Conservation, City of Denver booklet is included to provide a basic
understanding of the strategies involved in water conserving
