STERLING WATER CONSERVATION PLAN

MAY 28, 1996

The addition well no. 30 would increase the production capacity to 8,460 gpm or 64
percent of the projected peak hourly plus fire fighting demand. Therefore, the City
would need 1.15 million gallons of storage to meet the projected peak hourly plus fire
fighting demand for the four hour duration. Again, the City has 10 million gallons of
storage in four storage tanks.

Projected Construct/on Water Demand

With the proposed site worl< and construction of the prison facility, additional demand
for water will probably be placed on the City's water facilities. For example, in 1994 an
estimated 10,000 gallons was sold to contractors during reconstruction of the 1-76
Interchange. Although no estimate can be made at this time of the total projected
water demand or timeframe, Its possible impact should be considered.

Psge40
