Discussions with other water managers indicated <br />similar dilemmas. <br /> <br />By applying the proposed modelling and simulation capabilities from other District <br />operations it appears we can use this same expertise to greatly facilitate a real <br />understanding of the enormous benefits associated with water conservation. <br /> <br />4. Please identifY any community involvement anticipated or planned as part of your project. <br /> <br />4.1 COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT <br /> <br />The target audience of this proposed effort are the decision makers (federal, state, and <br />local) and the professional water community. Their involvement in the development of this <br />tool will be through their professional organizations who will be used as resources to <br />provide quality control and review of the model. After completion of the model we will <br />provide educational presentations and demonstration of the model's use and applicability. <br /> <br />5. How might you propose sharing the results of the project with your community? <br /> <br />5.1 SHARING INFORMATION WITH THE WATER COMMUNITY <br /> <br />First, the legislature who appropriated the money should be educated how the public's <br />money is spent. Thus, we recommend that the CWCB coordinate a presentation of the <br />model to the Colorado Legislature's Interim Committee on Water.
