<br />~ 39.81 <br /> <br />AURORA CODE <br /> <br />for water service to any given premises who is responsible for compliance with the aforemen. <br />tioned soil preparation and permit processes. <br /> <br />la) Lawn, turf or sodded area limitations: <br /> <br />(l) For areas covered by planned unit developments, where the underlying zone is <br />not R.A, R-E, R-O, R.l or R.lA, and for ell planned community zone districts <br />residential planning areas designated by the general development plan to have <br />six and zero tenths (6.0l units per acre or more. <br /> <br />\ <br />I <br />\ <br /> <br />Such development may not devote more than fifty (50) per cent of the required <br />development open space to the cultivation of lawn, turf or sodded areas composed <br />of grass species which do not appear on the drought.tolerant grass list prescribed <br />by section 39.80 of this Code. <br /> <br />(2) For all other residential zone districts, including planned community zone dis- <br />trict planning areas with less than six and zero tenths (6.0) units per acre; for lots <br />with lot areas up to and including seven thousand (7,000) square feet, two thou. <br />sand (2,000) square feet plus thirty (30) per cent of the increment of the area <br />which exceeds two thousand (2,000) square feet may be devoted to lawn, turf or <br />sodded areas composed of grass species which do not appear on the drought. <br />tolerant grass list prescribed by section 39.80 of this Code; for lots with areas <br />exceeding seven thousand (7,000) square feet, but having no more than seventeen <br />thousand (17,000) square feet, three thousand five hundred (3,500) square feet <br />plus fifteen (15) per cent of the increment of the area which exceeds seven thou. <br />sand (7,000) square feet may be devoted to lawn, turf or sodded areas composed of <br />grass species which do not appear on the drought. tolerant grass list prescribed by <br />section 39.80 of this Code, up to a maximum five thousand (5,000) square feet; for <br />lots with areas exceeding seventeen thousand (17,000) square feet, fifty (50) per <br />cent of the lot area not used for structures or parking may be devoted to lawns, <br />turf or sodded areas composed of grass species which do not appear on the drought- <br />tolerant grass list prescribed by section 39.80 of this Code. <br />(3) For commercial, industrial and office zone districts and for commercial, indus- <br />trial and office areas within PCZD which are required to provide landscaping <br />totaling fifteen (15) per cent of lot coverage, fifty (50) per cent of any landscaped <br />area reqUlred for1mcOverage u'-oe~ devoteato lawn-;-turrOr sodded area.scom~ - -. <br />posed of grass species which do not appear on the drought.tolerant grass list <br />prescribed by section ;39.80 of this Code. <br />(4) The city manager or his designee shall have the authority to grant exceptions to <br />the foregoing limitations. Such exceptions may be granted in the sole discretion <br />of the city manager, or his designee; npon a showing of hardship or extraordinary <br />circumstances, providing the person or entity applying for such exception pre. <br />sents an acceptable water conservation plan with the application for an excep' <br />tion. <br /> <br />(b) Obtaining permits: <br /> <br />(1) Applicants shall submit a site plan on a form supplied by the city, together with <br />their application for a permit which application shall set forth applicant's name, <br />the address of the lot, size of the lot area, soil preparation heretofore undertaken, <br />size of the area entitled to be devoted to lawn, turf or sodded area and date on <br />. which water is to be first applied to such area. <br /> <br />Supp. No. 53 <br /> <br />2762 <br />
