The purpose of the report was to project future water supply needs,
review the existing well production facilities and predict needed facilities and
resources to meet anticipated growth. The report developed water demands,
needed water production facilities and anticipated costs. It also includes
discussions of legal entitlement to water resources, water reuse and
conservation. An update to this report is scheduled to occur in 1996.

. Utilities Master Plan Update - In 1987 this report addressed technical issues
associated with extension of water, wastewater and reuse utility systems. It
focused not only on the physical requirements for the utility systems, but
developed operating concepts for the water and reuse systems and an
evaluation process for what would be future water acquisition opportunities.
Many of the issues discussed in this document were further considered, and
revised in the 1992 Water Resource Management Plan and 1995 Water
Facilities Master Plan.

+ SCADA Upgrades - For water treatment operations the Town uses the
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system. It is a computer based
monitoring system. Its purpose is to reduce manual monitoring of redundant
signals, make predefined decisions, and generate performance and error
reports. This helps operators to more efficiently meet water demands, and
reduces system losses.

16
