<br />. <br />. <br />II <br />II <br />II' <br />II <br />. <br />. <br />II <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />II <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />II <br /> <br />EMD Water Shortage Response Team <br /> <br />The District will form a Water Shortage Response Team to be activated during times of <br />threatened water supply, The make-up ofthe Water Shortage Response Team will be determined <br />at the EMD Board Meeting held in December of each year, This Team will be established each <br />year for a period of one year and have a commitment of at least five individuals, one member of <br />the EMD Board and four members from the other water and sanitation districts and / or the <br />Evergreen Community at large at the discretion of the Evergreen Metro District Board, The <br />General Manager of the District will act as coordinator and point person for the Commitee along <br />with the District Operations Manager in order to provide continuity and facilitate District staff <br />interaction, <br /> <br />Members <br /> <br />General Manager - Coordinator <br />Operations Manager <br />One EMD Board Member <br />Four Members from Distributor Districts &/or Evergreen Community <br /> <br />The Water Shortage Response Team will be responsible for the development of priorities for use <br />of the available water during shortages, These priorities should be based on input from citizen <br />groups, other emergency response groups, and legal requirements set forth in the Colorado <br />Revised Statutes, The Evergreen Metro Board will give the Response Team limited authority to <br />implement this plan in a timely fashion and on an emergency basis, <br /> <br />Priority setting will evolve into possible water allocations that will be established for all <br />customers, A starting point allocation ranking system is as follows: <br /> <br />. Minimum health and safety allocations for interior residential needs (includes single family, <br />multi- family, hospitals and convalescent facilities, retirement and mobile home communities, <br />student housing, and firefighting and public safety); <br /> <br />. Commercial, industrial and institutional! governmental operations (where water is used for <br />manufacturing and for minimum health and safety allocations for employees and visitors), to <br />maintain jobs and economic base of the community (not for landscape uses); <br /> <br />. Permanent agriculture (orchards, vineyards, and other commercial agriculture which would <br />require at least five years to return to production); <br /> <br />. Ex~sting landscaping; and <br /> <br />. New customers, i.e" proposed projects without permits when shortage is declared, <br /> <br />During a drought situation, the Water Shortage Response Team will be contacted monthly, and <br />as the drought situation worsens, as often as needed, until the drought has lifted, The Response <br />Team will have the responsibility for the actual implementation of the drought conditions <br />responses, They will take the information provided them by the water department staff, and <br /> <br />15 <br />
