<br />. . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 1992 <br /> <br />The annual SILT PIG ROAST is now officially scheduled for Saturday September 12th, so mark it <br />on your calendar and plan to attend! Five roasted pigs, music, and entertainment make this event a <br />yearly favorite. All proceeds from the event go to the Silt Volunteer Ambulance, a non-profit <br />ommunity service which gives Silt excellent 24 hour emergency medical care. <br />The festivities will begin at 12:00 Noon in Veterans Park, and will officially end at 5:00p.m. The <br />cos\ is $6,50 for adults, $3.50 for those over age 65, and $2.00 for children under ten. This year, <br />there will be pig t-shirts and balloons for sale too. <br />Also, pot~luck desserts are needed. Just bring your dessert to the roast and put it on the dessert <br />table. <br />If you do not have an ambulance subscription, September 12th would be an excellent time to get <br />one, A renewable subscription costs $30 for an individual and $35 for a family, and allows. the <br />. subscriber free ambulance service for one year. If you buy a subscription at the ROAST, you or one <br />member of your family eats for free, so come on Down!!!! <br /> <br />"SILT CAN SAVE" WATER CONSERVATION PROJECT NEEDS YOU!!. <br /> <br />The water conservation project officially began during the month of August, and initial turnout for <br />the free kits has been good, but not as high as we need. <br />This month, City Hall and the community would like to urge you to come in and get your free <br />conservation kit as soon as possible. Many of you have not make it in yet, and we need everyone to <br />participate. <br />If you are unable to come in during normal hours, please call us and we will be happy to leave one <br />at your home, If you know your neighbors need one, come in and get one for them. <br />When you do come in to get a kit, please let us know the address of the house you are converting, <br />we can insure everyone gets at least one kit. , <br />The kits are state-of-the-art water conservation devices. They take about 15 to 20 minutes to <br />install, and are ABSOLUTELY FREE TO YOU, thanks to the Colorado Water Conservation Board. <br />Any questions or comments can be answered by calling City Hall at 876-2353, <br />
