A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A W ATER CONSERVATION PLAN
FOR THE CITY OF LOVELAND

WHEREAS, water is a precious resource that must be used wisely; and

WHEREAS, City Council has approved water conservation as an important part
of the City's water supply planning; and

WHEREAS, water conservation can result in additional water supplies to
supplement Loveland's reserves during a drought or emergency; and

WHEREAS, S 37-60-126, C.R.S. requires any entity supplying more than 2,000
acre-feet of water annually to develop and implement a water
conservation plan; and

WHEREAS, a water conservation plan has been publicly available for a period of
sixty (60) days and has been revised, where appropriate, to reflect
public comments received; and

WHEREAS, the Plan has been approved and recommended for City Council
approval by the Water Board.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR
THE CITY OF LOVELAND, COLORADO:

that this Water Conservation Plan dated May 1996 be adopted and
fonnally submitted to the Colorado Water Conservation Board to
satisfy the requirements of S 37-60-126, c.R.S.
