TOWN OF CASTLE ROCK
WATER CONSERVATION GRANT PROJECT WORKPLAN

5/20/92

I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In a short paragraph, briefly describe your project.

Through an advertised application selection process, select three homes,
each in separate pressure zones, for a water conservation "make-over",
noting the different techniques and devices to be implemented at each
specific site. Collection of preliminary water use data will be obtained prior
to, and during the selection process, and will continue on indoor and
outdoor water usage through the completion of the project. Water saving
information for each specific device or method will be determined by
controlled application of the various devices. Through promotions and
publications sent directly to, or available to customers, each project will be
tracked from beginning to end, encompassing data and results as they are
achieved. Analysis of data, on a gallons per capita basis, will yield the
efficiency rate by percentage of each conservation measure explored. From
this, an incentive credit plan can be developed, giving credits based on the
efficiency value of the measure to all customers who implement them.

II. GOALS/OBJECTIVES

State the specific goals and/or objectives of your project In 2 or 3
sentences. Secondary goals should also be noted.

To present residents with examples and statistics specific to the area and
the front range that show water conservation really pays off in Castle Rock
for the residents and the Town as a whole. To define in a gallons per
capita format, the efficiency value of the different measures used in the
model homes. To increase public awareness of efficient use of water
through education.

III. PROJECT PLANNING

Clearly Identify any water use data or other Information needed for
your project and how you obtained the data. Some preliminary data
may be required before the project begins and some data will be
collected at the end.

Historical weather data for Castle Rock: The Town currently possess
historical weather information from the National Weather Service dating back
to 1948.

Current and on-going weather data throughout the project: The Town itself
