Table 2 shows the household sizes and number of people involved in the project
Homes averaged 3.1 persons per household. According to Loveland Planning Depart-
ment 1993 data, households in Loveland average 2.6 persons. The larger households
in the audit group most likely contributed to their higher water use. Of the 1,855 peo-
ple involved, 1,156 (62%) were aged 21 or older and 699 (38%) were under 21.

Retrofit devices

Retrofit devices were selected after studying information from manufacturers, Rocky
Mountain Institute, A WW A Research Foundation and the Colorado Office of Water
Conservation. Table 3 shows the specifications of the devices installed.
