<br />2. <br /> <br />FIXTURES <br />The number and type of fixtures that are located in these buildings are listed in table 2. <br />The Capitol building has a combination of flush valve type toilets and older tank type <br />toilets, with the flush-valve type toilets being located in the public restrooms. The Senate and House are nonnally <br />in session for 120 days per year. About 140 people are employed full time in the State <br />Capitol Building. Many people also visit this building, for tours and for business. The State <br />Office Building houses the Department of Education, where there are 240 full time <br />employees. <br /> <br />Nonnal business hours for these facilities are 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. <br />In addition to the regular employees, many visitors do business here. The public restrooms <br />at the State Capitol Building also get a substantial amount of walk-in usage. There are <br />security personnel that watch the facility during the rest of the day and on weekends. <br /> <br />WATER BALANCE <br /> <br />Water uses in these facilities can be divided into four major groups, domestic, cooling, <br />cafeteria, and landscaping. <br /> <br />Domestic Use - Domestic use is largely restroom usage. In the Capitol Building, there are <br />public restrooms located on the lower level and private restrooms located on all floors. <br />Toilets located on the lower level are flush-valve type and are estimated to use 4.5 gallons <br />per flush. The older tank-type models, located in the other restrooms, are estimated to use <br />approximately 5 to 7 gallons per flush. <br />
