No water user In or upon any premi- <br />ses to which water Is supplied, pursuant to permit Issued by the City <br />of Thornton, shall supply, allow or permit the supply of water to any <br />premises other than the premises described In the permit. <br /> <br />Section 111. That the City Code of the City of Thornton, <br />COlor.do, Is hereby amended by the .ddltlon of Section 40-79 as <br />follows: <br /> <br />~ 40-79 Turning on of water <br /> <br />The Utilities Department will turn water on at any premise <br />lawfully entitled to be served upon request. Except upon written <br />order of the Utilities Director, no one except a duly authorized <br />employee of the Utilities Department shall, under any condition or <br />circumstances, turn water on for use in any premise when the water <br />shall have been turned off by the Utilities Department or at Its <br />order; provided, however, that a licensed plumber may turn on water to <br />the minimum extent necessary for the purpose of testing his work after <br />which the same shall be turned off by him. The city shan not be <br />liable for any damages resulting In the turning on of the water either <br />by city employees or . licensed plumber. <br /> <br />The Utilities Department Shall turn water on at any preMiSes <br />lawfully entitled to service, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 <br />p.m.. Monday through Friday, exclusive of hOlidays. The City Shall <br />not be liable for any damages resulting from the turning on or off of <br />the water either by City employees or other duly authorized persons. <br /> <br />Section 112. That the City Code of the City of Thornton, <br />Colorado, IS hereby amended by the addition Of Section 40-80 as <br />follows: <br /> <br />~ 40-SO Right to shut off water for repairs <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />The Ut'1it1e$ Oepa~tment rese~ves the right at any time, but <br />after reasonable notice to all concerned. to shut off the water In Its <br />mains for the purpose of making repairs, extenSion or for any other <br />useful or necessary purposes. In case of emergency. reasonable notice <br />Is waived. No water user shall be entitled to any dmaages or to have <br />any portion of payment refunded for any stoppage of water supply, <br />however, the same may be occasioned. All persons having boilers or <br />other appliances on their premises depending on pressure of water In <br />pipes or upon a continual supply of water shall provide, at their own <br />expense, suitable safety appliances to protect their property In case <br />of the stoppage of water supply or the loss of pressure. ' <br /> <br />Section 113. That the City Code of the City of Thornton, <br />Colorado, IS hereby amended by the addition of Section 40-81 as <br />follows: <br /> <br />~ 40-81 Waste of water <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />Water shall be used only for beneficial purposes and shall never <br />be wasted. <br /> <br />Section 114. That the City Code of the City of Thornton, <br />Colorado. Is hereby amended by the addition of Section 40-82 as <br />follows: <br /> <br />~ 40-82 Pe,.lt rights nontrlnsferlble <br /> <br />None of the privileges or rights granted to any permittee shill <br />be assigned or sublet In Iny mlnner whatsoever. No water user In or <br />upon any premises to which wlter Is supplied shill supply wlter to any <br />other person unless and until such person shall have procured from the <br />office of the Utilities Department a permit therefor. No sewer user <br />shall permit any other person to use the service line on his property <br />until such person has procured from the office of the Utilities <br />Dep.rtment a permit therefor. <br /> <br />-39- <br />
