- ~ "

....
m _

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

1. Movin? If you are going to move, contact the
District two working days in advance. If you
have made a Renter's Security Deposit, any bal-
ance remaining after the final billing is paid will
be returned to you. We must have a forwarding
address.

2. Propertv Owners. If you have rental property
and your renter is moving, you must call the
office two working days in advance of their final
read date in order to keep water service on.

3. Intenu9tion in service. From time to time, water
service may be inadvertently interrupted.
Common examples are during construction of
buildings, homes and roads.

· If your service is intenupted, please call the
office immediatelv. Both day and night phone
numbers are shown on the back of this booklet.

4. Vacation Disconnect.
If you are going to be gone for more than a
month and you want to turn off your water at the
meter, you may do so. Please let us know before
vou leave the date you turn the water off. When
you return and turn the water back on, we need
to know that date, too. If you want a serviceman
to turn your water off or back on, there is a
$5.00 service charge which will appear on your
next water bill.

· If your service is intenupted on very cold
mornings, check for frozen lines before calling
the office. Very often the first cold snap catches
us unprepared.

ESTIMATED METER READINGS

Occasionally, continued extremely cold weather or
heavy snow will prevent employees from reading your
meter. Why? Finding the meter box can be difficult.
Opening the meter box could freeze the meter and/or
lines; that means no water until they thaw out.
In that situation, we estimate your meter reading.
You will be billed the same amount as the average
month and the bill will be adjusted, if necessary, when
the meter jj read.

14

. .

..
.' .~~ .:.::., ..;~ ;'~-:i".::-~~" :.;..
J

*

SELECTED "OPERATING RULES"

1

Have any questions?
