The Utilities staff would tben determine tbe status of each <br />individual residence as far as what retrofit devices are in use prior to the "make. <br />over", and determine a base indoor usage. Current indoor water conservation <br />practices in place prior to program implementation must be discerned, A focus will <br />be placed on outdoor water use as soon as weatber deems appropriate, The resident <br />would outline usual landscape maintenance techniques. At that time, staff can enlist <br />the expertise of consultants, by use of A WW A consultants, and by using program <br />sponsors in the community. For consulting compensation, advertisement and <br />promotion of the program will be accomplished free of charge to the consultant. <br /> <br />Also, hardware for retrofit, or for landscaping, may be acquired free or at a reduced <br />fee for promotional purposes from listed sponsors, <br /> <br />P ARTICIP ANTS <br />- Three to five residences : These participants would be selected through review of <br />applications, Applications would be designed to determine average residents per <br />zone by size of family, irrigated area, home square footage, etc, An important <br />determining factor in selection would be the willingness of the applicant to have <br />information published and serve as an example in their community. Applicants may <br />be solicited to participate in speeches, seminars, and promotional efforts during <br />publicizing functions. <br /> <br />- Town of Castle Rock <br />Public Works and Utilities Commission Members <br />Utilities Staff: Environmental Resource Technician for administration of <br />Program, Line Maintenance Personnel for meter reading, Utilities Clerk for <br />administrative support <br /> <br />- Sponsors: Garden Care <br />Sunrise Landscaping <br />Pine Lane Nursery <br />Woodman Brothers Nursery <br />Moore Lumber <br />Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />2. Describe the methods you are proposing to monitor or track the change in water use <br />as a result of the project.
