.

The final materials to be developed, under the auspices

of the grant, is a VHS tape about the water district and the

methods that have been used to conserve water throughout the

district. This VHS production took twice as long as was

planned; instead of 40 hours the project took over 80 hours.

.

A combination of moving film situations and locations

were recorded by camcorder. Also included in the tape are

computer designed graphics, and 35 mm slide photographs.

All of the materials were combined and voiced over into the

final tape at the University of Colorado's film studios.

.

In the near future, by the 1996/97 school year, a

computer program will be developed that will allow more

hands-on activity by the students. It will include some of

the film clips from the VHS tape, the photographs from the

slide show and question and answer sections that the

students will need to complete. A hands-on approach will

dominate the program. Although this software program is not

included in the grant it will use portions of the materials

developed for the grant.
