.

Another water conservation item was also developed. A

publication written to help teachers find materials and

curriculums that can be used by themselves and in their

classrooms was also developed. A considerable amount of

research was completed through the mail and the internet to

collect a list of materials and curriculums and evaluate the

many water conservation resources around the United States.

The number of materials available was much too large to be

included in such a publication so only the best of the

materials and curriculums were included in the final

.

document. Even these were rated in three categories: best,

second best or good. The publication, Water Curriculum

Materials, a publication to assist teachers in the

instruction of the many water relationships throughout the

earth, was published with the help of Rothberg, Tamburini,

and Windsor Engineers and Consultants and is presently

available for distribution.

.

The District has also purchased a commercial Ground

Water Demonstration kit to be used in the employees

classroom presentation as well as by individual teachers.

It has been used twice during 1994.

7
