<br />I. <br /> <br />APPENDIX A <br /> <br />SECTIONS FROM CORTEZ CITY CODE. CHAPTER 27. WATER <br /> <br />Sec. 27-6. IMPOSITION OF EMERGENCY OR CONSERVATION RESTRICTIONS. <br /> <br />If conditions so limit the water supply of the clty water system that unrestricted water use <br />may endanger the adequacy of that supply, the city council exercising its discretion in <br />the protection of the public health, safety and welfare may adopt such emergency or <br />conservation water use restrictions as reasonably calculated under all conditions to <br />conserve and protect that supply and to ensure a regular flow of water through that <br />system. Emergency or conservation water use restrictions shaU remain in force and <br />effect until the council determInes that the conditions requiring their imposition no longer <br />exist. (Ord. No. 427, art.2,&5.) <br /> <br />Sec. 27-19. WASTING WATER PROHIBITED. <br /> <br />No person shall: <br /> <br />(a) Waste the water at any hydrant or faucet or permit the water to be wasted through <br />such source. <br />(b) Leave or permit the water to be left running through such to prevent freezing or for <br />any other purpose except under the direction of the superintendent. <br />(c) Make use of any form of water closet which necessitates the constant running of <br />water. <br />(d) In any manner waste or permit the waste of water from any pipe, fixtures or <br />appliances under his control. (Code 1968 &7-8-7.) <br /> <br />. u ---Sec:. 27 44. MAlNTENANGE-GENERALL Y. <br /> <br />(a) The owner of any premises to which water shall be conducted shall keep all fixtures <br />and pipes from the property line to the point of use inside the premises in good <br />repair. Unless the owner shall promptly repair any flXlures or pipes inside the <br />premises when notified by the Superintendent, the water shall be turned off and <br />shall not be turned on again until such repairs are made. <br /> <br />(b) Wrthin the city limits the clty shall have the responsibility to repair or replace the <br />service line from the property line of the user to the clty main, not exceeding, <br />however, one hundred feet of such service line, and such repair or replacement <br />shall be at the city's expense.
