This rate structure promotes conservation by correlating sewer fees with actual <br />water use. <br /> <br />Commercial/Industrial Water Conservation Measures <br /> <br />The following measures apply to the commercial/industrial sector. <br /> <br />Advanced Plumbing Regulations. This measure is the same as the residential <br />plumbing regulations with the addition of: <br /> <br />· UL V urinals <br />· Encourage application of other low-flow devices as practical <br />· Encoumge the wise use of water <br /> <br />Water Consultations. The District will offer free water consultation to <br />commercial/industrial users. The audit team will identify specific ways that the entity can <br />reduce water consumption and wastewater flows and loads. Examples include: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Identifying leaks <br />Reducing blowdown requirements <br />Reviewing cleanup procedures <br />-Retrofitting fixtures-and-otherwatenrsing-devic~ - - . <br />Exploring reuse alternatives <br />Monitoring current uses <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />----- -- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />After consultation, the audit team will prepare a brief report specifying ways the facility <br />can reduce water consumption. For multiple similar businesses, the audit team could perform <br />group audits. <br /> <br />New Development Low Water Use Landscape Design. As with the residential <br />sector, the District will develop landscape design criteria for new property development. <br /> <br />PublicI Utility Water Conservation Measures <br /> <br />The following measures apply to the general public, municipal, and utility sectors. <br />
