Consider using best available technologies in codes above and beyond the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code. <br />+ Consider an incentive plan to encourage retrofitting of existing structures with <br />more efficient plumbing fixtures. <br /> <br />Low Water Use Landscapes and Efficient Irrigation <br /> <br />+ Consider establishing xeriscape guidelines for all District facilities, including using <br />a District facility as a promotional xeriscape garden. If a promotional facility is <br />pursued, seek a state grant for this program. <br />+ Consider establishing standards for xeriscaping of public facilities, including <br />schools, parks, and roadway landscaping. <br /> <br />Water Efficient Industrial and Commercial Water Using Processes <br /> <br />+ The East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District consists primarily <br />of residential development with very little commercial and no industrial users. <br />Therefore, the District will not pursue any water saving measures in this area. <br /> <br />Water Reuse Systems <br /> <br />+ Continue to study the feasibility of reuse for public irrigated areas and streetscapes. <br />+ Examine potential exchanges of water utilizing effluent as an exchange source. <br /> <br />- - Distribution System Leak~epalr - - - -- -- -- - - - -- - - - - -- -- - - - - - - _u - -- - - <br /> <br />.
