Domestic usage and vehicle <br />washing make up the rest of the water use at the facility. <br /> <br />It is recommended that the bleed flow be reduced from <br />approximately 0.6 gpm to 0.1 gpm during the winter. This <br />flow should be adequate to prevent freezing and will <br />significantly reduce water usage. <br /> <br />Other water saving retrofits do not appear cost effective at <br />this time. Retrofits to toilets and sinks would result in <br />water savings, but due to the minimal usage of the restrooms <br />it would not be as cost effective as in other state <br />facilities. <br />
