UPON SUCH LANDS; AND <br />(b) ADVISE THE COUNTY ASSESSOR OF SUCH DESIGNATION. <br />(7) IF A LOCAL PLANNING JURISDICTION DESIGNATES LAND AS <br />NA TURALL Y PRODUCTIVE OR CONSERVATION AND OPEN SPACE LAND. IT <br /> <br />MAY. WITHOUT LIMITATION: <br /> <br />(a) ACCEPT GIFTS AND GRANTS FROM PUBLIC OR PRlV ATE SOURCES <br />tOR THE PURPOSES OF ACOUIRING OR PURCHASING A CONSERVATION <br />EASEMENT ON SUCH LANDS IN THE INTERESTS OF PRESERVING OPEN SPACE <br /> <br />AND OTHERWISE COOPERATE WITH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ENTITIES TO <br /> <br />ACHIEVE SUCH PURPOSES; <br /> <br />(b) By AGREEMENT WITH THE LANDOWNER. UTILIZE OTHER LAND <br /> <br /> <br />PRESERVATION TECHNIQUES CONSISTENT WITH THIS ARTICLE; OR <br /> <br />(c) UTILIZE ANY OTHER LAND PRESERVATION TECHNIQUE <br /> <br />PERMITTED BY LAW. <br /> <br />(8) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS SECTION <br /> <br /> <br />AND EXCEPT FOR AN APPLICATION REGARDING ELECTRlC OR NATURAL GAS <br /> <br />FACILITIES. A LOCAL PLANNING JURISDICTION SHALL NOT APPROVE ANY <br /> <br />DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT UNDER ITS LAND <br /> <br />DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT TO ANY LAND .IT HAS <br /> <br />DESIGNATED AND ZONED AS CONSERVATION AND OPEN SPACE LAND. <br /> <br />NOTHING IN THIS SUBSECTION (8) SHALL BE CONSTRUED AS PROHlBITING <br /> <br /> <br />THE CONSTRUCTION OF LIMITED FACILITIES IN SUPPORT OF USES <br /> <br />CONSISTENT WITH SUCH DESIGNATION. <br /> <br />(9) (a) ANY LOCAL PLANNING JURISDICTION THAT ELECTS TO <br /> <br />PERMIT DEVELOPMENT IN A RURAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE PURSUANT TO <br /> <br />SUBSECTION (3) OF THIS SECTION SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS <br /> <br />ESTABLISHING A PROGRAM FOR THE TRANSFER OF DEVELOPMENT R1GHTS <br /> <br />-46- <br /> <br />1225 <br />
