1 organization ofthe original district was filed. The petition shall be signed

2 by not less than twenty-five percent of the owners of agricultural lands

3 of the area embraced by the proposed lands to be included and by not less

4 than ten percent of the electors of said area embraced by the proposed

5 lands to be included. The petition shall show that the board of directors

6 of the district has given its verified approval to the inclusion of such area

7 in the district and shall recite the terms and conditions upon which said

8 area shall be included, if any, whieh THAT the board of directors of the

9 district may have required, in its discretion, as a prerequisite to the

10 inclusion. The board of directors of the district may require, as one ofthe

11 conditions of its approval of the proposed inclusion, that the petitioners

12 post a sufficient bond to cover the costs of the election, If no bond is so

13 required, the district shall be deemed to have agreed to pay the costs of

14 the election, SUBJECT TO SUBPARAGRAPH (II) OFTHIS PARAGRAPH (a). the

15 orooosed boundary of the lands to be included within the district may

16 include any part or all of any county, city, or city and county ofanv size,

23 WITHIN THE DISTRICT MAY NOT INCLUDE ANY LANDS WITHIN A

24 DESIGNATED GROUND WATER BASIN EXCEPT UPON THE WRITTEN CONSENT

25 OF THE GROUND WATER COMMISSION AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF

26 ANY GROUND WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WITHIN WHICH SUCH LANDS

27 ARE LOCATED, THIS SUBPARAGRAPH (In IS REPEALED. EFFECTIVE
