Given the <br /> unprecedented challenges facing o state's water, inel,` g growing pressures on the Colorado <br /> River from diverse users and the prospect ofa. i cant supply gap by 2050,innovative <br /> approaches to water governance are n e w,mil that ire 400 r t with the Compact and the Law of <br /> the River,yet can effectively manage emerging realities of multiple water users. <br /> The Upper Colorado River Wild k,4Sterlic Stakeholder'Opp represents an important example <br /> of ground-up development of oeiv Peltarion for water management for multiple uses. Pete <br /> Taylor would like to study the e ie ence of th ;Stakei older"Group,which has made important <br /> gains in bringing together diverse°ite t+ de an innvative water management <br /> approach. We believe that ire,is Itch t 'be.le rimed,f Your group and related initiatives <br /> about how to bring diverse water users to the table, Pld bow to organize in ways that effectively <br /> address multiple interests, including agriculture,municipal and industry, energy,environment, <br /> recreation and others. ' <br /> The study would involve in-depth interviews with a structured sample of participants selected in <br /> consultation with the Stakeholder pup,field visits to the River reaches to be managed, review <br /> of relevant public documents,and preparation of°a preliminary report to be provided to and <br /> discussed with stakeholder group members.
