The contract with <br /> the San Miguel District was executed early this summer and work is <br /> getting under way. <br /> With respect to the contract with the River District, I am now <br /> advised that the River District has concluded that it will proceed <br /> with the execution of the contract subject to two changes : (1) the <br /> contract will be with both the River District and the West Divide <br /> Water Conservancy District, with the latter district contributing <br /> $1,000 towards the $20,000 cost sharing required by the Board, and <br /> (2) the River District has proposed the inclusion of a new paragraph <br /> in the contract to read as follows : <br /> 8. The Contractor has no obligation to support legislation <br /> which may be advocated by the State of Colorado con- <br /> cerning the utilization of Colorado River Storage <br /> Project (CRSP) power and/or water surcharge or other <br /> revenues which may become available for the construction <br /> of water resource projects in Colorado, nor is there an <br /> obligation to support the disposition and/or investment <br /> of those funds , which may become available as a result <br /> of such legislation. <br />
