The Western
Area Power Administration (WAPA) has been working the last two
years on revising these criteria for the post-1989 period. As
reported at previous meetings, WAPA presented the proposed
criteria last September and received comments on these criteria
in October.
WAPA has evaluated all of the comments on the proposed
criteria and has issued a revised set of criteria for comment
which we will be receiving in a few days, hopefully for the Board
meeting. The revised criteria were published in the Federal
Register on September 4.
WAPA' s schedule calls for the finalization of the criteria
by the end of 1984 and the allocation of power by the end of
1985 . However, if the Diamond Fork power is integrated into the
plan, promulgation of the final criteria may delayed until
early 1985.
/bvm
716
pow/mark
