along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br /> designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br /> Board; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106( 1) (c) , Colorado Revised Statutes <br /> 1973 , directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br /> and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br /> make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br /> jurisdictions ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said new report <br /> and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation <br /> Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas <br /> those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional <br /> flood) for Southeast Canon Drainage, Forked Gulch, West Forked <br /> Gulch, and Sand Creek, as described by the floodwater surface <br /> elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br /> vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br /> this 15th day of March, 1984, that it does hereby designate and <br /> approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being <br /> inundated by a 100-year flood for Southeast Canon Drainage, <br /> Forked Gulch, West Forked Gulch, and Sand Creek, as described by <br /> the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said new <br /> report; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br /> directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the City <br /> of Canon City and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> C E R-"---T I F I C A T E <br /> I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a <br /> • <br /> resolution adopted by a majority vote of the members of the <br /> Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br /> Denver, Colorado, on the 15th day of March, 1984, at which a <br /> quorum was present. <br /> J.
