Mr . Gale Christy, City Manager of Littleton, spoke on behalf <br /> of the City of Littleton. In his remarks, Mr . Christy emphasized <br /> that the City of Littleton has devoted much effort to the <br /> proposal which is supported by both Arapahoe and Jefferson <br /> Counties, the Colorado Department of Highways and the communities <br /> of Columbine Valley and Bow Mar . He also indicated that if an <br /> amendment to the Act authorizing the floodplain park is required, <br /> the City will promote the enactment of such legislation through <br /> members of the Colorado Congressional delegation. <br /> Substantial Board discussion ensued followed by a motion by <br /> Ms . Sanfilippo, seconded by Mr . Johnson, that the issues raised <br /> in Mr . McDonald' s July 8, 1985, letter be revised to reflect the <br /> Board members' concerns . The motion was adopted with 8 members <br /> voting yes and one member (Johnston) voting no. <br /> Item 10 - Wild and Scenic Rivers in Colorado <br /> Mr . McDonald summarized the Board' s previous deliberations <br /> relevant to wild and scenic river designations in Colorado. He <br /> stated that his October 25, 1985, memorandum to the Board <br /> (Appendix D) called attention to the Board ' s discussion at the <br /> September meeting where it was agreed that each Board member <br /> would be responsible for making recommendations as to what <br /> position, if any, the Board should take on each of the study <br /> rivers in colorado. With his memorandum, Mr . McDonald <br /> transmitted three papers for the Board' s review as follows : <br /> - 7 - <br />
