He reported that land acquisition for stages 1 and 2
is complete and is under way on Stage 3 . Lower Gunnison Unit
An agreement in principle has been reached on plans to
furnish water during the winter for stock watering purposes .
Uncompahgre project water users were scheduled to vote on the
proposition early in November . Smith,
that the Board support the winter water proposal but not support
the balance of the implementation program until the mitigation
issue is resolved. The motion was adopted unanimously.
4. Bear Creek Reservoir Conservation Space Allocation
Mr . McDonald stated that in order for the allocation of
water in the conservation pool to be finalized, it is necessary
that the Corps of Engineers complete the Environmental Impact
Statement and that the parties expressing an interest in water
from the reservoir should submit formal requests indicating the
quantity of water desired.
5.
